DeKalb County Drug Court: Clinical Coordinator

Position Summary:

Manages and coordinates the clinical and/or treatment services for the DeKalb County Drug Court, which has two tracks of programming. Supervises additional treatment staff and the development of treatment plans, clinical recommendations, and delivery of evidence-based curriculums (T4C, CBI, MRT, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

Manages and coordinates the clinical/treatment services for the DeKalb County Drug Court Program. Conducts clinical evaluations on appropriate referrals and assigns caseloads to treatment staff under his/her supervision. Oversees and evaluates contracted treatment professionals in the case management and treatment of emotional, cognitive, developmental, behavioral and interpersonal disorders, illnesses and substance use disorders. Responsible for developing and monitoring individual treatment plans, providing clinical recommendations, and coordinating treatment services. Attends weekly treatment staffings, court appearances, etc. Conduct individual and group treatment sessions. Maintains procedures for confidentiality, release of criminal history information, and program adherence to and compliance with established Federal, State, and local standards and guidelines. Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in Public or Judicial Administration, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Social Work, or related field preferred. LCSW or LPC required (candidates who are working toward licensure are encouraged to apply). A minimum of three years of experience working in the criminal justice system, social work, therapeutic evaluation or related field. Direct experience working within the drug court model is preferred. Preference given to applicants who are certified in Thinking for a Change, Cognitive Behavioral Intervention (UCI), and Moral Reconation Therapy.

The Superior Court of Fulton County Georgia (“Court”) has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Behavioral Health Technician within its Accountability Courts Division.

Superior Court is Georgia's busiest trial court of general jurisdiction. POSITION OVERVIEW

This position performs operational duties related to counseling and advising clients in need of services within the Superior Court, Accountability Courts program. Responsibilities include consulting with assigned staff regarding clinical procedures, initiating case follow-up, and referring patients to community agencies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Consults with assigned staff regarding appropriate clinical procedures.
  • Initiates the follow-up of assigned behavioral health cases and performs service coordination duties.
  • Provides individual and group counseling.
  • Coordinates program services with various County health agencies.
  • Refers clients to other community agencies and resources as appropriate.

SKILLS:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science (Psychology, Social Work, Sociology), and two (2) year of experience providing direct client contact in a behavioral healthcare program; or, a year for year interchange of indicated education and/or experience equal to the minimum qualifications. Preferred qualifications- case management experience or a law enforcement related background.

Position: FAMILY TREATMENT COURT (FTC) Coordinator

Salary: This is a grant-funded position. Compensation will vary based on the experience and credentials of the successful applicant but not to exceed $50,000 annually.

Time: 40 hours per week

Office located in the Bartow County Juvenile Court

Position Summary

The primary role of the Coordinator is to administer and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Bartow County Family Treatment Court. The Coordinator should work well in a team setting and demonstrate excellent leadership qualities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following are normal for this position and are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

This position works directly under the supervision of the FTC Presiding Judge and performs work involving coordinating, arranging and administering the various facets of the FTC program; interacts with program participants, including providing a variety of case management services; interacts with judicial officials, other judicial branch employees in various aspects of program operations; prepares reports and correspondence related to program activities; maintains records of program participants; assists in developing policies, procedures and guidelines for program; coordinates special projects, events and activities as assigned; develops and initiates various reports from the program case management system and assists with all reporting requirements.

Desirable Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of substance abuse disorder (SUD), addiction and case management practices;
  • Knowledge of community treatment providers and services, including SUD and criminogenic treatment modalities and evidence-based curricula (CBI-SA, MRT, T4C);
  • Knowledge of social and psychological issues regarding drug use and addiction;
  • Knowledge of the Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) and child safety practices;
  • Skill in interpersonal communications in a collaborative format;
  • Considerable skill in multi-tasking with efficiency and accuracy;
  • Considerable skill in working independently in a fast paced, stressful environment.

Minimum Training and Experience Required

A bachelor’s degree (preferably Master’s degree) and minimum of three (3) years relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education, including a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, criminal justice, human services or a related area, and experience may be considered. Knowledge of national best practices for Drug Courts and Family Treatment Courts, as well as the Standards for Georgia Accountability Courts is preferred.

Cobb County Juvenile Court is recruiting (2) part-time, grant-funded therapist position. Selected candidate will participate in an extensive; grant-funded training to become a certified provider of Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT). Once trained, provide BSFT to Cobb County Juvenile Court’s moderate to high risk population of youth offenders and their families during evening hours and primarily in the client’s home setting.

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

Georgia Cares, Inc. (Georgia Cares) seeks qualified candidates to serve in the newly created positions of Assessment Coordinator. Georgia Cares is seeking applicants who reside throughout the State of Georgia, as these positions will be assigned to a specific region in the State, and ideally, employees would reside in/close to the region they serve. Specifically, Georgia Cares is interested in candidates from the Bibb County and Middle Georgia, Chatham County and South Georgia, and Metro Atlanta regions of the State. This position is a full time position, which is a grant funded position. The nature of this position requires this employee to respond with an in person assessment within 24 hours when a youth is located. Due to this, the position of Assessment Coordinator will enjoy flexible work hours, totaling 40 hours per week. This position will also travel primarily within their assigned region, but also occasionally around the State as our youth service area is state-wide.

The Assessment Coordinator position for Georgia Cares is responsible for the in-person assessment of youth referred to Georgia Cares for suspicion of DMST/CSEC. Coordinators use the Georgia Cares research based assessment tool to determine the victimization, trauma history, needs, and strengths of each youth. This position works with partner and custody agencies to communicate youth needs and recommendations for the care of victimized youth. The Coordinator assesses the involvement and trauma history of the youth and confirms victimization. Within the role, the Coordinator makes recommendations for each youth’s care and services to achieve restoration, and ensures that the professional recommendations are individualized, trauma-informed, and culturally competent and will address the youth’s specific needs. Lastly, the Assessment Coordinator is also responsible for conducting trainings and participating in partner meetings within their region, as needed to increase collaboration and communication. Georgia Cares seeks candidates who are dependable, hardworking, and invested in making a long-term

impact in supporting the statewide response to child sex trafficking. The position requires a candidate who is skilled with rapport building, culturally competent, and demonstrates respect in working with youth and families. The candidate should also possess strong time management skills, prioritization, and experience with vulnerable populations. DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Manage the Assessment for youth referred to Georgia Cares within 24-72 hour established timeframes after the completed referral packet is received.
  • Confirm exploitation and/or trafficking history through the assessment tool in order to ensure Georgia Cares is serving confirmed victims.
  • Refer all at-risk youth to appropriate partners or services outside of Georgia Cares.
  • Complete an Assessment Outcome Template Form for each confirmed victim with Georgia Cares and provide a copy of the report to the referral source within the established timeframes.
  • Engage with potential community service providers in the region that will support youth served through Georgia Cares.
  • Ensure proper reporting and documentation of services, contacts, and communications with family and outside providers. This includes entering case notes within three business days of contact.
  • Engage in individual and group clinical supervision with the Assessment Administrator.
  • Participate in bi-monthly staff meetings.
  • Engage in case review meetings on a monthly basis.
  • Research new providers for services to DMST/CSEC youth.
  • Complete special projects as assigned by the CEO, VP of Programming, and Assessment Administrator.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • This position is on-call 24/7 to respond to referrals in need of assessment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess a master’s degree in Social Work.
  • Must possess Social Work Licensure in the State of Georgia (or the ability to be licensed within 60 days of hire).

  • Ensure the development of a child and family Safety Plan.
  • Provide juvenile court advocacy for youth.

  • Engage in case review meetings, peer review, case audits and the MDT on a monthly basis.
  • Research new providers for services to CSEC youth.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess a master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling.
