Job Qualifications :  Masters degree or higher in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field. Associate or full licensure. At least 2 years experience working directly with a substance abuse population, especially in an intensive outpatient or outpatient setting.Preferred supervision and management experience. Preferred experience working with trauma and prison populations.

Description of Duties :

  • Ensure appropriate treatment is occurring and is documented for all clients to include:
    • BHA and Service Plan Development/Orientation
    • Group- frequency of, tx phases, etc.

  • Ensure that current treatment plans:
    • are in client record and that they reflect clients’ current needs, current functioning, and SNAP and
    • are updated every 60 days and are signed by both the primary therapist and client.
  • Oversee interns re: programmatic issues
  • Consult with intake and therapists re: returning clients and need for new assessments.
  • Coordinating with UM, ensure that all notes are signed within 24 hours or by EOB Monday for all treatment occurring the previous Thursday.Ensure that all documentation is complete and filed in client paper chart or in electronic record before client graduates from program.
  • Ensure medical screenings occur:
    • That all drug screens results are recorded in client record and are addressed with client, especially positive drug screens.
    • That all nursing assessments occur at client’s first visit and that results of medical tests are filed in client record.
  • Ensure compliance with all outside regulatory agencies, including DCH, APS, CARF.
  • Ensure that contact with probation officers, parole officers, or employers occurs at the frequency requested and contains the information required.Ensure that contacts and letters with these entities are documented in the client record.
  • Facilitate regular team and staff meetings to discuss client issues and staff concerns to include transitioning clients to higher or lower level of care based on attendance, participation, progress, results of drug screens, and payers.Oversee client transfers from mental health.
  • Ensure that all client fees are paid prior to clients’ graduation from program.
  • Provide coverage as needed for assessments, groups, and walk-in clients.
  • Client contact hours should be 40% of total hours worked.
  • Oversee staff schedules and sign staff time sheets.

Purpose of Job
The purpose of this job is to coordinate the planning and development of the administrative and program matters for the treatment and accountability program. The position is responsible for action as liaison with other judicial offices, treatment providers, social service agencies, and interrelated offices within the county and across the State of Georgia. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coordinated the day-to-day operations of the Mental Health Program (MHP) and performing additional tasks as assigned by the Judge.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 Develops and maintain network of referral and community relations, related to treatment and operation of the Mental Health Program
 Attends and participates in weekly MHP team meeting as the lead member of the Treat & Accountability Program (TAP) Team.
 Supervises interns and assigned staff, as appropriate
 Responsible for developing policy, implementation of programs, goal, strategies and objectives related to the MHP
 Responsible for developing, monitoring, maintaining, and upgrading computer and technology systems for the program, as necessary.
 Develops statistical procedures and tracking data systems for internal and external reporting.
 Ensures compliance with federal, state and local laws and county codes, as well as applicable grant restriction, if any.
 Drafts the annual budgets and periodic reviews for grants for the MHP


 

 Responds to inquires and provides assistance to the general public for all issues related to the MHP
 Ensures distribution of MHP calendars to appropriate departments
 Researches grant/funding opportunities, assists in tracking data for current grants, and drafts application for future grants.
 Coordinates, schedules, and tracks treatment, drug and alcohol test, medication, and counseling sessions for MHP participants
 Serves as liaison between the judicial offices, treatment providers, social service, and interrelated offices within the county and across the state of Georgia.
 On the request of the appropriate judge, investigates mental health treatment histories of defendants and recommends treatment-informed conditions for release. Ensures compliance with treatment requirements.
 Acts as case manager for connecting participants to treatment, social service, public benefits and other needed services. May also provide treatment and other community referrals at the request of judges.
 Represent the program at various community events and meetings that pertain to the work of the program.
 Performs various routine clerical duties such as filing, copying, emailing, corresponding and filing.
 Attends court for status conferences.
 Creates and maintains files for the MHP participants.
 Researches information on inmates and offenders for potential participation in the program.
 Coordinates collection of resource data for MHP
 Performs home visits and site visits of participants
 Performs other related duties as required


 

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities
 Knowledge of the policies, procedures, and activities of the Clayton County Courts in particular, and Treatment and Accountability courts in general, as they may pertain to the performance of duties related to this position.
 Knowledge of psychiatric treatments, mediation and co-occurring mental health and substance abuse diagnoses for the mentally ill
 Knowledge of terminology used within the court program, as well as medical terminology
 Knowledge of all applicable laws, ordinance, policies, standards and regulations pertaining to the specific duties and responsibilities of the position.
 Knowledge of addiction, alcoholism, pharmacology and cultural issues.
 Knowledge of legal documents, order, sentence form, court calendars and schedules, legal data—including motion, order, warrant, etc.—and procedures and methods as required in the performance of duties.
 Skill in the use of software packages such as Microsoft Office, electronic mail programs, Clerk of Courts data and Jail system.

Assertive Community Recovery, LLC is looking for a Clinical Director for our Adult CORE program.

The Clinical Director will be responsible for providing supervision to lower level therapists and/or graduate counseling and social work interns, involving review of clinical documentation and consultation of provision of care and advisement on quality of service issues. The Clinical Director provides oversight and coordination of quality assurance processes and procedures, including record audits and the development of corrective action plans. Provides counseling, therapy, and/or psychotherapy to individuals and families as appropriate to the position; prepares treatment plans, discharge plans and provides crisis intervention and emergency services as needed. Complete Order of Service documents and ensure that all goals/objects/interventions are s.m.a.r.t. and entered into the sharenote system. Assign Cases to Paraprofessionals and/or Clinicians. Assist with Call Center Referrals, correspond with referral sources and review progress notes. Facilitate staff meetings; provide trainings; assist with correcting deficits and ensure that the agency is in compliance with APS & CARF recommendations for Adult CORE Programs.

The ideal candidate will be fully licensed as an LPC, LCSW or LMFT and be familiar with Georgia APS guidelines. Preference will be given to those who have 3 to 5 years of experience working with adults experiencing severe emotional and behavior disorders and to those who have experience with supervising for at least 2 years. ASSESSORS: Assessors needed to conduct comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments.  Assessments to include treatment plans/interventions and must be able to identify DSM-IV diagnosis, Axis 1-5 and CAFAS scores.  Services are provided to clients within the community, and in-office.  Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and able to communicate well in writing. This position functions with deadlines, but schedule is flexible. 

Qualifications: Master's degree in a counseling field is required, and must be pursuing licensure as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT; fully licensed preferred.  Also, must have experience conducting comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments to children and adults.  1 year experience working with SED children required. 

THERAPISTS (CORE/PRIVATE PRACTICE): Therapists needed to provide individual and family therapy to child/adolescents/adults and their families within the community or from our private practice. CORE Therapists will work with a case load of up to 24 clients within the community, and will lead a team of 2 paraprofessionals.  Fully Licensed Therapists for the Private Practice must be licensed for at least 3 years.  Therapists must be highly organized, detail oriented, an independent thinker, and a Team Player.  Also, must be able to provide services to clients during NON-traditional work days and hours.  FT and/or PT available.   

Qualifications: Master’s degree in a counseling field is required.  Therapists must be pursuing licensure as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT and must show proof; licensure supervision is also provided.  Private Practice Therapists must be fully licensed in the State of Georgia for a minimum of 3 years.  All therapists must have experience working with SED population.

PARAPROFESSIONALS (CORE): Paraprofessionals needed to help clients maintain mental health stability, and assisting with accessing community resources.  Must be highly organized, detail oriented, an independent thinker, and a Team Player.  Paraprofessionals will work closely with Clinical Supervisor and Therapist daily, with a case load of up to 12 clients within the community.  FT and/or PT available.   

Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree preferred with 2 years experience in the Mental Health field working with children/adolescents/adults with SED diagnosis. 

REGISTERED NURSE: Nurse needed to provide nursing assessments, education, training, and ongoing nursing care to families with mental health SED diagnosis.  Services may be provided within the community and/or in our facility. Must be highly organized, detail oriented, a self-starter, and a Team Player.  

Qualifications: Must have at least one year experience providing mental health nursing care, and be licensed in the State of Georgia as an RN.

PSYCHIATRIST: Clinical Psychiatrist needed to provide contracted clinical, therapeutic and administrative services for children and adults in our CORE program.  The Psychiatrist is responsible for providing appropriate medical interventions that shall support the individualized goals of resiliency as identified by the youth/family/caregiver and their Individualized Resiliency Plan and general wellness.  Must be organized and efficient in meeting documentation requirements, as outlined by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD). 

Qualifications: Must be an MD in the State of Georgia with behavioral health training, and at least 5 years of experience working with children and adolescents in a behavioral program.
